Can not connect to internet
  • Gboost keeps telling me it can not connect to get boot list or compare it or whatever.
My internet is working fine, my Firewall is off WHICH I REALLY DO NOT LIKE DOING!!!
I have completely removed and reinstalled Gboost several times, and restarted PC nothing works.
It must be an issue with your server or gboost. I tried to send a bug report but after it can not connect and says try again it crashes and you can not ever sennd a bug report in time.
Please give us some kind of fix, I see a LOT of people in forums have had the issue and you never really give them a fix, just the standard... "turn off Firewall", "Reinstall", "Reboot" nothing works. and this has been happening as far back as I can see in forums.
  • can u guys post some info for us

we think we have identified a possible issue and the info would help us narrow this down

1 What OS you are using
2 Are u using an administrator or user account
3 have you installed gboost for all users or just one individual user

hope to have some answers soon

please dont leave your firewalls off it was just to eliminate that as a possible issue
  • windows 7 64bit
    admin with ALL permissions
    single user

been getting this for days now i tried to reinstall/install again but its always the same error tried no antiviruses, allowed it through my firewall and still nothing :/
  • I am having the same problem, I even changed from the Google OpenDNS servers to my Comcast default ISP supplied ones, still no luck...

It was previously working and now 2 months later it's not working at all. I tried unintalling, rebooting, and reinstalling, no luck. I even tried manually deleting the GBoost directories from the %AppData% directory..

How can I make it contact the servers and update itself..?

    Thanks
    -Myke
  • myke see above could u post the info requested many thanks
  • It sounds like it COULD be a good product but untill its bugs are resolved its not mush use for anyone but programmers.
  • so far we have been unable to replicate this issue

it would be interesting to see if its a routing issue, dns, ip range, isp or something that u all have in common
  • what isp are you guys using

are you able to for eg as a process of elimination to take the pc to a friends on a different isp and see if u get the same error

this would eliminate an isp routing issue

Howdy, Stranger!
