VoCal was born out the frustration of having to type calendar entries into your iPhone for personal reminders when using speech is much faster.
Thanks to all who have downloaded VoCal and are using it on a daily basis to improve their lives.
I certainly remember most of my things nowadays now that i have a fast efficient and reliable method of inputting the reminder

Is there a way to auto link Vocal to Outlook calender or some other calender? Same question for Dragon naturally speaking.

At the moment we are experimenting with sync capabilities. VoCal can sync the text of your reminder back to your main iPhone calendar which can then be synced with outlook by yourself. It cannot sync the voice as most calendars do not support voice at the moment.
If you do wish to sync your text then, there are various methods to do this: Two of which are below.
You can link your iPhone Calendar to your outlook calendar in a variety of ways.
The first way is to tick calendar sync option in iTunes. This will sync up your outlook and iPhone every time you plug it in and sync.
Another way is to get a MobileMe account from Apple. This supports over the air syncing to your outlook. See this link: http://www.apple.com/mobileme/features/pc.html

Set up google calendar on your iPhone, then set it as your default calendar.
Open VoCal and go to settings. Disable syncing and unsync. Then re-enable syncing and your entries should sync to your Google calendar! -
Very new to iphones and Ipads, a little unclear will vocal work on an ipad? We have an aunt with early dementia who needs to be reminded what is happening throughout the day but we would like to do this using a real voice of someone she knows. Just to make life slightly more difficult we would like to be able to update her calendar, with a voice reminder, remotely so my queston is, is that possible with vocal?

i have a client that has been using vocal and loving it. however. her iPhone died, she never synced it to iTunes for any backups. she re-downloaded the app and her calendar shows up, however, there are vocal entires that show, but when clicked are dead links.
is the voice data stored locally on the phone or is it pushed to some sort of cloud server in any way?
just wondering if theres any chance of data recovery here for her. -

I have the newest IOs running on an Iphone 4s. Sometimes the toggle switch from private to speaker mode stops functioning and the app gets stuck in speaker mode. This occurs even if I have the auto record/private playback set to on. In order to get this button and the toggle functions (ie. Private playback to resume) I have to turn the app off and then back on again.

Is this stating that the vocal reminder can be copied and retrieved; however, simply via text messaging. If so, that is great! I just need the content back.

Only way to get content is if you have backed your iPhone using iTunes. This backup will include your user data and Voice Reminders. Next update brings a Wifi Backup option, then we look to iCloud for an automated backup solution that need never be plugged into your iTunes again, Please be patient as each feature takes hard work and lots of testing before we can release it.
